Why are these Charcoal Logs “Binchotan-style”?”

Our BBQ Charcoal Logs are produced in the style of Binchotan Charcoal, to display similar high quality characteristics for your grill, to bring your food great flavour.

Like Binchotan, they are designed to be extremely pure and dense, lighting up without odour and smoke, and burning with high, consistent temperatures for an extra long time. Unlike regular briquettes that crumble easily under the grip of tongs, our Binchotan-style Charcoal Logs hold their shape well for easy and safe handling.

Regular charcoal that is very easy to light either contains chemical accelerants, or are not equipped to hold their heat for a long time once they are lit.

For faster lighting, we recommend using a charcoal chimney to light Binchotan-style Charcoal Logs – or if you do not have one, simply use more fire starters to provide more heat. You can also use a fan to speed things up.
